One of the most influential Latinas on social media demands a change for portrayal of "Sesame Street's" new character. Angelica Perez-Litwin, a social entrepreneur and clinical psychologist, wants the show to depict Nina, a young Hispanic woman, as a college or graduate student. She believes that Latino characters should be depicted as the hard workers they are. It's believed that "Sesame Street" is a world known positive and educational learning experience. As founder of "Latinos Think Big", she wants Nina to serve as a diverse role model for young children.
The NAACP, co-founded by DuBois, was an organization that was formatted and based on the advancement of color people while black people were seen as good for nothings; not worthy of a fulfilling education.
