El Chapo meets Sean Penn???

The famous actor Sean Penn apparently met El Chapo for a secret interview in Mexico. It lasted 7 hours and covered a variety of topics. I'm not really sure how or why this meeting happened but it is certainly strange and not a headline I was expecting to see. 

This relates to how the government does secretive things behind our back. For example the watergate scandal with Richard Nixon. Like El Chapo and Penn, Nixon was involved in secretive affairs that were later publicized
