On Saturday morning, a United Airlines flight headed to Denver was diverted as a result of a threatening message found on board. It departed at 11:39 PM on Friday however, the crew elected to divert the flight after finding a threatening message left by a passenger. The plane landed in Vancouver on Saturday with a “suspect in custody”. The passengers were let back on board shortly after to reach their destination of Colorado.
Although the nature of the threat has not been released by authorities, it’s reassuring to know that such action was taken to ensure the safety of passengers. Security in airports has obviously always been a priority, more so in the recent years than ever before. It’s nice to read about how airport security is continuing to be taken very seriously, as it should be. I think that one of the reasons it is now taken so seriously is because of 9/11. In years before the tragic event it was always important to keep those flying safe, however it was no where near the extremity it is today.

This is one of my biggest fears, i hate flying in general but its always a scary thought of something bad happening because of all the recent shootings in the US. It's great to hear that airport security took direct action.

This is very scary! It is a fear of mine also for this to happen while flying. But I agree with Bella, I'm glad that the airport took action in this case.
