An inactive Hellfire missile was sent to Europe for training but was shipped to Cuba instead, where it has remained since 2014. Although initially designed as anti-tank weapons, they are often modernized and currently deployed from drones in anti-terrorism operations. Even though the missile was not operational, the missile still contained sensitive American weapon technology such as targeting and sensor information, that US officials said would be concerning if it fell into the wrong hands.
This is very alarming. If Cuba refused to give back the missile and had of seen this information the United States would be in grave danger because of the feud between the United States and Cuba.

That's crazy that it could just be shipped to the wrong place. I'd be interested to hear the backstory because that seems to be a big thing to have just been shipped to the wrong place.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Demi, how does this big of a mistake happen? I hope no serious conflict stems from this situation.
ReplyDeleteMatthew Homsher 9th- Well, at least we got it back. It could have been another Cuban Missile Crisis.
