Summary: The process starts with registration from the U.N for refugee status then an interview and you have a refugee status but you're still in your home country. Next is a referral to go to the U.S., another interview, and three background checks. But we're not done there, then there's three fingerprint screenings. After your case is reviewed by the immigration headquarters and you're given another interview. Then a disease screening and security check before you leave. Now you leave for the U.S and you are checked through airport security. This process takes at least two years and some of these steps were added just Middle Eastern people.
Analysis: I think this is what's wrong with immigration today. People are always saying there are to many illegal Mexicans. This is probably the reason why. I hear a lot of stories of people trying to escape the violence and the drugs and the wars from there country of origin that's why they want to come to America and sometimes it seems that we don't want them to come. The very country that was built upon lots of different people coming here and building a culture combined with everyone's culture.

I understand basic screening for immigrants, but this process takes way too long. People trying to escape violence by coming to the US, wouldn't be able to get here in time.
