This article talks about the massacre that was planned by John David LaDue but, never took place. During the summer of the year 2013, he started creating little bombs and getting kicks out of them exploding. He soon then began planning to bomb his school, he looked at multiple bomb stories so he could learn what worked best. This all would have went down if it weren’t for an eyewitness that saw LaDue acting fishy near storage units. When arrested by police, he didn’t deny anything he was completely honest and even specified who he wanted to kill the most. In the end they are placing him at a treatment center for his “mental illness."
To be honest, I’m not shocked. Not even the tiniest bit because, if this boy was a minority then he would’ve definitely had jail time maybe even shot on site. But, since he’s not he gets to plea "mental illness”? Thats completely absurd but at the same time you can’t do anything about it. More and more this is becoming a more common thing, such as students actually planning to bomb their school. Even in the article it says that this type of behavior is mostly from teenage white males. Yet, they aren’t treated as criminals when they come close to killing innocent people or actually end up killing innocents.
Tristin Manus 8th- I agree, if this boy was a black boy, he would have been immediately dead or in jail for a ridiculously time but no he was a white male with "mental illness". The media and white supremacists love to dehumanize black boys, reimaging them into animals and drugs and they love to put a really bad name of mental illnesses
ReplyDeletethe plea for insanity is creation of the white man
ReplyDeleteI read some where, sometime that more and more people (or those people's lawyers) have been pleading mental illness and that all those people have gotten, more or less, off the hook with their crimes. (The crimes that cost the lives of many innocent people). Obviously there has to be some mental illness in you if you plan to massacre, but the fact that some just get off the hook when they're close to being in their right mind and kill really aggrivates me.
ReplyDeleteI think one has to be slightly mentally ill to plan to bomb a school, but it's terrible this boy is completely off the hook. Planning to attack a school is an actual crime, mentally ill or not.
