This article was about how the Sigma Nu fraternity at Old Dominion University hung up suggestive banners during move-in weekend. One of the posters said "freshman daughter drop off." During the interview, two girls were asked what they felt when they saw the poster and they both said they thought it was a joke and even expected it. This situation wouldn't have been given it the attention it needed without the lady who really gave it some light, the president of student engagement and enrollment.
I believe that nowadays we as girl aren't really taking offense to the things that are actually offensive to us. Like, we've come to a point in time where if a guy offends a girl in a way where he expects you to do something because of your gender, it is laughed at and considered a joke. I'm not going to lie, I've caught myself in that position and didn't really think much of it. But, now that I do it makes me feel bad because other females have worked so hard to escape these ideas on what we should be and now we're not even defending ourselves anymore. As much as it is on us to stand up for the blame, it is also mostly on the fraternity boys. If they could've been mature to realize this wasn't the best idea for them, then they wouldn't be in the position they are in now.

I agree, girls have become so desensitized to these kinda of things. That really proves there's a problem (Bella Di Fazio pd:8)
