This past Saturday, a local IHOP in Mississippi was struck by a massive sinkhole. The road and asphalt gave away Saturday evening creating a huge sink hole that was estimated to be about 35 feet wide and 375 feet long, and 30 feet deep, swallowing 12 cars. All the cars were parked and empty so there have been no reports of any deaths or injuries. The cause of the sinkhole is still unknown. Some professionals are saying that the limestone was welted away from water underneath it, others are saying its a classic sink hole case. Mississippi locals are very thankful this weekend to have no deaths or injuries from the disaster. The IHOP is now under construction and will be back in business shortly.
