Burial found Under New York by Andrew Witcher 4th period

Scientist recently discovered a burial under the Washington Square park. The bodies were buried inside of a large vault, and are over 200 years old. This area was actually a public burial area from mid 1797 to 1825. They estimate there are thousands of bodies hidden underground in the park. 

I find it so interesting that we have built a city on top of this burial site. It is odd that none of this information has been previously released. However, this will be a massive discovery for scientist and anthropologist  alike. This discovery will help us further understand the living conditions of the time.
