After months of Blue Bell being unavailable due to the factory and majority of containers being tainted, the company has finally been given the all clear to start producing again. While they lost a ton of money while being off the shelves I believe that this spike in Blue Bell loving has potentially covered and paid over the loss of finances. Blue Bell is one of the many brands that when you read the name the first thing that pops in your mind is "TEXAS" or the south in this case. Having blue bell back I have noticed a spike in patriotizm and state loyalty. Back during the civil war and the Antebellum age there were major spikes in what it means to be an American and people becoming even more supportive of the states and our country.
Personally I only really eat blue bell when attending camp (don't get me wrong I do enjoy blue bell, I'm just more of a ben and jerry's fan) but I too feel the patriotism that comes from Blue Bells revival.
FINALLY!!!
ReplyDeleteToo long has it been since i sat on my bed, half naked, binge-watching various shows on netflix with a full tub of Blue Bell iced cream. I applaud you Blue Bell, well done.

I liked how you connected the revival of Blue Bell ice-cream to an increase in patriotism and state loyalty! It's amazing to me how much influence ice-cream can have! -Nicole Chatham 6th period
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy Blue Bell is back, I have been lost without it. But, on a more apush type note. Great connection with our loyalty to Blue Bell showing off our patriotic side.
