Who will win the Women's War? By Lossie Hudspeth

As we all know, campaigning for senate, congress, and president of the USA are relentless. And under the topic of Women, republicans have always fallen short. Arguments over abortion, contraception and other issues-- have always been in favor for the democratic party. But are republicans coming to terms with our contemporary views of women's rights? Well one thing is certain, they are avoiding their past mistakes, such as in the 2012 presidential elections. Will we start to see more states turn red because of this new switch from "anti-abortion" and "legitimate rape" to "pro-choice"? Democrats are certainly having to pick up their speed with this turn around. So comes the question of, how will this close the gender gap? Will more females vote Republican or Democratic in the war for women?

  1. I think they're coming to terms with more rights for women, but I bet it's only to get women on their side and away from Democrats. Still, I think women will be sticking with the Democrats, which is the right choice. Also Republicans may be starting to show some respect to women's rights, but I doubt they'd spend a cent trying to get equal payment for women.

  2. I think it really depends on the mentality of the average "American woman" today. Certainly back then, contraception of any kind was frowned upon, but now it seems that the mentality has took a turn in the opposite direction. No matter how popular a trend might be, you always have those few who oppose it.
