US behind world on Gender Equality - Veronica Nichols 2nd Period

Studies have shown that gender equality is helpful to economies and country development. Countries with more gender equality tend to have better economies and be more productive. According to a new report from The World Economic Forum places the United States at number 20 below Canada but slightly above the United Kingdom. Texas, out of the other states in the US is actually considered to be one of the worst in regards to gender equality.
That is something that makes me very disappointed in our state I honestly cant even believe that in this day and age gender equality is still a concept that politicians, mainly egotistical white men, can't grasp. I mean honestly since when is being a woman a bad thing, men try to say that women can't be trusted in positions of power because of "mood swings" I  hate to break it to them but there was actually a study that showed that men are typically more prone to mood swings then women. Not only that but women can literally make a person inside their body, i mean how cool is that? How come as a woman, I am responsible for creating life but as a society people wouldn't trust me to, for example run a company? And no one is asking for anything ridiculous like women to be treated better then men just EQUALITY. Consider this, you have two kids one boy one girl, someone gives the boy four toys and the little girl two toys, then someone else sees that it's unequal and gives the girl two more toys, next thing you know the little boy is screaming and throwing a huge fit about how its unfair and he should get two more toys also. That is what people opposed to gender equality sound like. Like ridiculous little boys who don't understand the concept of equality, which clearly, they don't.
