Spaceship Two Crashes- Lauren Kuehmeier, Period 2

October 31st a very grim event took place while we all celebrated and endured halloween. The Virgin Galactic Spaceship crashed, killing co-pilot Michael Alsbury. Fortunately, the other pilot Peter Siebold survived the accident by parachuting out of the fractured plane. The crash supposedly happened because the ship switched too quickly into a mode that was designed to slow it down.

Hopefully an event like this demonstrates that these useful devices double as weapons and that there should be great care/ caution taken in the designing of them. And there desperately needs to be more tests run before putting people in them.

  1. I agree. think the Virgin company was striving for a goal to quickly. More planning should have taken place to avoid thing like this.
