New frog species by Mackenzie McGregor

Recently, it was discovered that a new species of frog had been discovered: the Atlantic Coast leopard frog. This species was discovered in New York City, not too far from the Statue of Liberty. This discovery is astonishing as it is not the species uncovered, but rather the fact the new species was discovered in an urbanized location. This is amazing as this could lead to the examination of other species of animals thought to be the same as another, which could lead to new questions pertaining to the creation and preservation of these species.
