Magic Leap is a new technological advancement, allowing for 3D effects to appear in real time on real things. Rather than just submersing you into an artificial environment, the user is placed in both an artificial and using your natural environment (a.k.a. where you are at the given time). This new software was created by Google, and though there are similar programs the Magic Leap is the first of its kind.
Although this new program cannot be compared to any past U.S. history inventions, it can be added to the list of numerous inventions created dating back to the beginning of our country's time to today. This breakthrough can benefit artists like ourselves, mostly targeting film makers but definitely not limited to that specific group. (i.e. observational drawing for artists who want to work with surrealism but need to visualize their piece, video game software, etc.) Access to this sort of technology brings along multiple possibilities for future developments, things that were only possibly in movies and we created in our dreams.

The Ringling Bros. Circus was fined $7,000 for putting their performers lives in danger by making them form a "human chandelier" by hanging themselves on hooks with nothing but their hair. Performers plummeted more than 15 feet and 9 people were seriously injured.
Circuses and freak shows were forms of entertainment that started during the Antebellum Age, oftentimes featuring acts that were risky or humiliating in order to keep an audience astonished and captivated. (+ giving them more $$$) Sometimes it ended in injuries or death, which has remained evident to this day. When you think of (or at least when I think of) circuses, you linger away from the "entertainment" aspect and fall into the "abusive" pattern of it...Abusiveness to their exotic animals, people with rare physical diseases (referring to freakshows and "freaks" but that term is extremely offensive), and even star performers. The supervisor and instructor of this act placed an extremely hard task on their performers, possibly disregarding the fact that they too are humans and not ragdolls. The negligence of the ringleader resulted in injuries of many of their performers.

Brittany Maynard was caught in a battle between brain cancer and death, and after much contemplation, decided to take her own life. Many supporters of her courage immediately took to her side with words of support, some relating to her and carrying the same kind of cancer she did. Others thought her decision was cold and selfish, referencing the religious aspect of taking your own life.
Religion has always been a topic of debate or even thrown into debates separate from the topic of religion. Many people believe that God gave you the right to live and by throwing that away you are sinning greatly, because not only are you being "selfish" but you are playing the role of God. It also goes back to the topic of the Constitution's Unalienable Rights, "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." In my opinion, this was ultimately a choice that Brittany made and if she really felt that she couldn't possibly get better or bear the pain of brain cancer any longer then it might've been better than suffering for the rest of her life.

Story: Voting irregularities and issues are being closely monitored due to technical difficulties. This particular candidacy race is important to the state of Georgia because it determines the majority of control in the upper chamber of the cabinet.
Video: CNN is taking statistics from all over the country in order to compile data that shows why a candidate was picked and what percent picked that candidate.
Voting is apart of our system of democracy and it demonstrates our right to exercise unity (even though some of us are divided into separate political parties) which determines how we will work together. Voting irregularities will obviously not be taken lightly because it is our voice and our future, therefore people everywhere are working the systems. CNN is working on the side gathering data that can possibly determine who will win and why, which demonstrated our goals as a country and as people.
