Joran van der Sloot Stabbed Twice by Yasmine B (5th period)

On Monday, November 3rd, van der Sloot's wife, Leidy Figueroa,  reports to RTL news that her husband was "seriously injured" in a stabbing that occurred at  Miguel Castro Castro Prison in Lima, Peru. Figueroa also tells RTL news that she also smuggled out her husband's bloody polo shirt that he wore when he was attacked. When people started to know about this, the director of Peru's National Penitentiary Institute, Jose Perez Guadalupe, completely denied everything and bluntly called her a liar. According to CNN, he also directly insulted her as well by making smart comments about why she would marry a man like van der Sloot. The situation is bad on both sides.
Honestly, I think that this is just karma getting back at him for all the things that he did. He robbed and killed Stephany Flores and is linked to the disappearance of Natalee Holloway, who went missing in Aruba in 2005. Even Guadalupe said that this man is "the biggest killer" in the Lima prison. My personal philosophy is that you should be able to take in what you dish out and it seems that in this specific case, everything that he did is starting to come back to him.

  1. From an outside view, your statement just sounds like revenge. Revenge is basically stooping to the level of the criminal himself. His punishment was prison and the stabbing was just someone's way at getting back at him. Revenge should not be the answer.

  2. I don't think he should have been so hostile towards the wife. Although, the stabbing and revenge is something that isn't new. It's become a great problem universally

  3. I agree with Ashton, but there really is not anything to justify stabbing someone...

  4. I agree with Hannah, revenge is not the answer. Though people may deserve it, it is not going to help anything. I also agree with Ashton, this is a reoccurring problem in today's world
