Georgia police discovered a badly burned body of a 10-year-old girl Saturday. The body was in a trash can outside of an apartment complex. The chaos began with a 911 call around 3:40 a.m. Saturday by a man (the girls father) who said he wanted to commit suicide. While talking to dispatchers, the man indicated there was a dead body
with him, his daughter, who had drank
some type of chemical and died. When the police arrived at the scene the suicide caller directed them towards the trashcan with the dead body in it. The girl's father and her stepmother were arrested and are being charged with felony murder, first-degree cruelty to children and concealing a body.
Yet another current event concerning death. I feel that is all we talk about these days, but lets face it, there are some pretty cruel and sick people in this country. While we don't know specific details of the story like what caused this girls parent to kill her, we do know that they did, in fact, kill her. Who is crazy enough to kill their own child? Ir is a relief to know these crazies are in jail, but it is still scary to think that there are so many dangerous people roaming around that we know nothing about.

Although this is an interesting article, I cannot help but notice that you only rephrased what the article said, in the same order. While it was an effective way to tell the story (although there seem to be a few holes in the story in the actual article), it may make you seem less credible in the future.
ReplyDeleteThe CNN article itself is poorly written. Since it was written by two authors, you'd think they would check each other's work to make sure it was acceptable for CNN's website. This does not seem to be the case.
I wrote my current even about the same issue. It is extremely unnerving to realize that there are such heartless people in the world. I wonder what the full story is because it is a very mysterious case.
ReplyDeleteThat is insane to me to think that a parent would kill their own child. I know it is very hard for parents to loose their child so young in a car accident or exc. and it impacts their lives forever, but for a parent to kill their child is just completely crazy to me.
ReplyDeleteI think people that do these types of things must be mentally sick. That is the only thing that I can believe. I wonder what happens to these people. Once they go to jail for the rest of their lives? Is there any type of resources or medicines that help them? Or maybe they should just rot in jail for the rest of their lives. Unbelievable.
