On Saturday a man called the police and told them he wanted to commit suicide. He said that there was a dead body at the location with him-his 10 year old daughter. He told them that she had drank some chemicals the died. Police arrived on the scene to find a man standing outside of his apartment complex pointing to a metal trash can (the sort that would be in a picnic type area). The police went to look inside, and when they opened it they found the burned body of the man's ten year old daughter. Police continued to investigate by clearing the apartment complex and questioning the man and others. The girl's father and stepmother were charged with felony murder, first degree cruelty to a child, along with one or two other charges.
This story is appalling. The mysterious nature of the situation only leads for it to be more erie. It is almost interesting (in an extremely morbid sense) that there are so many gaps in what happened. Let alone the phone call itself was disturbing, but the actual occurrence was even more so. How could parents do this to their child? What exactly did they do to their child? Was she forced to endure cruelty before this irreversible act?
My heart goes out to that poor girl. I am glad her parents (if you can call them that) will be be brought to justice.

This is the tragic stuff we hear of in morbid tales. It's so sad that such happens in real life; we tend to forget it can. I'm glad that even if the details weren't sorted out, justice will be.
