In New York, there is a three day music festival
know as "New York City's Electric Zoo." This
past Sunday on the third and final day it was canceled because of fatal events that occurred earlier this Labor Day weekend.
During this past weekend two people died and four are in critical care.
Jeffery Russ,23, and Olivia Rotondo,20, were the two victims found dead.
New York police believe the substance that causes the deaths wasMDMA.
MDMA in is pure form is what is commonly known as "Molly."

Due to the grave recent events the city advised that the music festival be cancel.
It had been stated on the festivals website that it was cancel.
Since people had already purchased passes, a fully refund shall be given.
It was also stated that with in the venue there was not allowed illegal substance and that every patron was to be checked before entering the venue.

  1. I'm sorry, this is not my concern, but let me just clarify that DRUGS KILL. 2-5 million people die per year from drugs. My sympathy goes to the two that died from this, but people need to learn a lesson. I once entered a music festival where I was hardly checked in by security and I was concerned if I would be safe, who knows what people could have brought in.

  2. Kind of ridiculous that the media blames a music festival for a citizens lack of common sense. The point is to go and enjoy the music being performed, not see how many drugs I can take to make this enjoyable. If you want to blame someone, blame the person who overdosed on the drugs they probably knew nothing about. Even if they shut down the festival, other idiots are still going to do drugs somewhere else.

  3. Often at times our government has good intentions, but makes poor decisions. I believe this may have been one of those times...

I think it's crazy how the music festival has to be blamed for people's ignorance

  5. I honestly don't think it's the festivals fault they werent advocating or endorsing drug use. To each their own, and these people decided to be irresponsible.

  6. It really sucks that the festival had to be cancelled and its also horrible that those people died. I just wish people would make better choices, then no one would've died and the festival wouldn't have had to be cancelled.

  7. I don't understand why people feel the need to take drugs at public events. You put yourself and others in danger, especially if those drugs are illegal. THIS IS JUST AN EXAMPLE OF THE MAN TRYING TO BRING US DOWN, MAN.

...no but really. This is extremely irritating.

  8. The fact that they are blaming the music festival is really offensive! Artists aren't the ones killing people, its the persons own choice and bad actions that affect so many other people and themselves
