Edward Snowden has done it again: he's dropped another bomb on the NSA and the USA. This time? A document stating that an estimated 1/5 of a subsection of all CIA applicants have crucial ties to terrorist groups Al-Qaeda, Hamas, and Hezbollah.
The document does not specify the ties, but the most common ones were the three listed above. It would appear that these terrorist groups are doing their best to infiltrate the system. What did the NSA do in response? They launched investigations into as many as 4,000 instances of suspected strange staff activity, looking over record downloads and data recorded by employees.
Personally, I find Edward Snowden to be something of a hero for sticking his neck out and revealing information like this. Of course, governments can't reveal every single detail about their operations to their citizens, but it's important for every citizen to know when the agencies that are supposed to protect them are being infiltrated by the very enemies they are trying to fight off. The NSA's shady operations need to come to an end very soon, and Snowden's 'intelligence dump' greatly helps bring about the end.
