Camille Cole - The National Emergency is the National Emergency
Summary: With President Trump now announcing plans for a national emergency declaration at the southern border in order to fund his wall, it is important to note how awful this would end up being for our nation aside from the wall itself. Aside from that, we are coming out of a shutdown that has already cost us a lot and a national emergency would plunge us further into financial trouble.
Analysis: The wall itself is already enough of a problem on an ethical and financial scale. It would cost us too much money that could be allocated elsewhere to truly help our country as a whole instead of some intimidation tactic. Trump needs to see that the people at the border that actually live there have shown that it would not be ever needed.

I completely agree. This wall will do nothing and we do not have limitless funds. Why are we wasting money on this when we could legitimately be helping our citizens?
ReplyDeleteThe only national emergency here is the fact that we elected an idiot.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Trump is going to build this wall over the span of 2-4 more years, and then when he is out of office, the next president is just going to tear it down!
