On Monday, Larry Nassar spoke his final few words before being sentenced to a lifetime in prison. This was the ending to three weeks of court hearings where many testimonies were made by victims of Larry. He is accused of sexually abusing his patients while being a USA gymnastics team doctor. In his final words, Larry apologized to all of the victims and said this will stick with him for the rest of his life.
This article includes the topic of a certain kind of abuse that happens all the time. Its a subject that needs to be shared so people realize how bad it is and try to prevent it. Abuse happens all of the time and only a few cases are actually addressed and taken to court. Hopefully this article, written by CNN staff, alerts people of this problem and there is a change.

This story is so disturbing. I feel for all those girls. I can't imagine what they are feeling.
ReplyDeleteIts so good that people who have gone unnoticed for 2 decades are finally being put away
ReplyDeleteI am glad that people are finally feeling like they can speak out against abuse. I also appreciate the way that people are reacting and helping others stand up for themselves.
ReplyDeleteI agree that this story is horrible to hear and that this issue definitely needs to be addressed more publicly.

ReplyDeleteListening to the stories of his victims is so harsh but knowing that their publishing it to prevent others from going through comes to show how brave they are
He really got what he deserved because to harm so many people that way is unthinkable. The mental and not to mention physical pain that takes to overcome an ordeal like that can really put stress on an otherwise sounds body and mind.
