Week of wildfires polluting air as much as year of cars
The wildfires in California have released as much air pollution as one year that the cars make in the state and has been recorded as the worst air pollution there . Currently the air quality in the bay area is so bad that they are comparing it to Beijing, a city notorious for their smog. The wildfire smoke particles can cause chest pains, a quickened heartbeat, and asthma attacks. The fires are expected to last longer, happen more often, and burn hotter than ever before.
I think that people need to focus on the state of the Earth before all of this NFL (excuse my language) bullshit. Donald Trump isn’t openly speaking about ways to fix these these major issues like this and the state of Puerto Rico because he doesn’t seem care if these innocent people suffer. People need to start talking about these serious topics to help solve these issues.
You would think that that would be the first thing our president would focus on, but as we can tell sports and other countries are more important. Just the fact that we have a lot of people suffering at once by things that can be solved is just really sad.
ReplyDeleteI can only hope that knowing this and seeing what San Francisco is going through will serve as a wake-up call for those with the legislative power to curb emissions.
ReplyDeleteThis is so scary! This is certainly more important than the things going on with the NFL. Our Earth is so important, and I think we need to raise more awareness. We need to learn what is really important.
ReplyDeleteThis is a scary thing to think about mainly because our president doesn't believe in global warming. If our country doesn't limit our emissions, even more devastating natural disasters will occur.
ReplyDeletePeople really need to start acknowledging that global warming is actually a thing and start treating the earth better and taking these situations more seriously.
ReplyDeleteI agree that this needs to be solved right away, but we need to think about the consequences compared to the benefits before we make any legislative law that could change society as we know it.
