Summary:
Donald Trump( Colt 45- what Dad calls him) has decided to brag about greeting the fallen troop’s families by writing and will soon he will call them. While Trump went on his casual bragging rampage, he decided to throw Barack Obama under the bus by saying he, and other pass presidents, have not bothered to contact any families of America’s fallen troops. The main problem with this, is that, this is not true. It seems that people have finally been pushed over the edge and responded to Trump’s false comments. Specifically, Obama’s former staff, has brought up the fact that Obama has been speaking to the the families of fallen troops since the beginning of his presidency. The article continues to to talk about many of the specific men and woman and instances that Obama has spoken to the families of fallen troops.
Analysis:
I don't think that the author was biased, but he, Mark Lander, came off as someone who definitely didn't vote for Donald Trump for presidency. This kinda reminds me of Julius Caesar( is that to long ago) and Napolean. How they would try to make themselves look better because they did something that the common people would be proud of, while pushing down on the past leaders of the land. The only difference is that news didn't travel fast enough to prove or debunk their statements. I think this kinda shows how Donald Trump is a low-key mad genius. Like he became the president some way. How did he fool the people of America to vote for him. The same people who just had a BLACK president serve for TWO TERMS. I don't know sometimes about this man, obviously he irks me, but he's way smarter than we give home credit for. I like to believe that he goes home writing intelligent essays on how to take over the world easily but then later practices how to say his speech in the most obnoxious way he possibly could to give off the vibe of stupidity.
I agree that for all of his ignorant comments, there is a undertone of intelligence in his misdirection and inflammation. The other part of me is grossed out and appalled that he would brag about giving condolences. Like Ms. Cotie says, don't applaud yourself for doing what you were supposed to do.
