Remi White- Las Vegas Shooting

Las Vegas Shooting: What We Know
October 3, 2017 8:44am , by CNN Staff

Summary: On Sunday at 10;08pm 64 year old Stephen Paddock began shooting into the crowd of a country music concert in Las Vegas. The police have yet to find a direct reason for this act of violence. So far in the FBI's investigation they have found 23 firearms in Paddock's hotel room, and 19 in his home.

Analysis: First of all I am horrified by this tragic event in American History, and very let down with today's society. However it is a little reassuring how the country has come together to help the families/victims, but it is disappointing that it took a horrifying event like this to bring us together.

  1. I feel that this event has brought people together, but it also shows how quick people can care for this event but not as quick for Puerto Rico.

  2. It's terrible these type of things keep happening today. There's absolutely no reason he should have had that many firearms in his HOTEL room. It's good we're coming together, but we need to stay together to actually get something done.

Its devastating to think that tragedies need to happen to bring people together.

  5. I wonder how he had access to so many weapons, and why he had so many in several different locations? I can't imagine what was going through this man's mind when he decided to do this, it's awful. I hope they discover the reason Paddock had for the attack.

  6. Liam Wise - If anything, this should wake people up in terms of our gun ownership laws. It's a rule that we discuss gun control after each shooting, but very little is often done. Hopefully this time is different.

  7. I think this tragedy will make people more cautious and avoid going to large public events with big crowds because you never know what may happen.
