"A combination of solar power and the rise of residential energy storage paves the way for a new kind of cable cutting."
On average battery prices have decreased by 24% a year since 2010. Overall, cheaper batteries could shorten the resulting payback period for houses. This makes renewable energy more attractive to home owners. This could prove to be a major advance/change in how we are going to live our lives in the future. With solar power being and batteries proving to have lower prices, we could benefit greatly. Many states are experimenting with the new idea of houses run by batteries, and I am very excited to see how this will impact us in the near future.

I had no idea that battery prices were decreasing. I wonder how successful houses ran by batteries would turn out to be.
ReplyDeleteThis is very interesting and solar panels are very good to our environment but are also very expensive.
