Missing hikers found dead, locked in an embrace, at Joshua Tree National Park

On October 19th, young couple Rachel Nguyen and Joseph Orbeso, from California,  were found shot dead in Joshua Tree National Park. The couple had gone missing three months prior, and an exstisive search, involving over 250 people, took place. The terrain of the area was very rough, and reports say that the couple acted upon "desperation." There bodies displayed drastic lack of food and water. Reports state "There bodies couldn't survive much longer in [these] conditions." The couple acted on there intuition and chose "flight" over "fight." As a result of the park rangers determination, the family is able to have peace with the situation.

This article was written to illustrate the idea of persistence. In every situation there is a decision to make: you can either commit to the task or fall short of completeting it. In this instance, determination was shown. This article highlights the rewards that come with portraying this form of character. If it were not for the extensive searches, the young couple would never have been found, and the families of the two would never have peace of mind.
