The Producers Guild of America have now become the newest Hollywood organization to shun Weinstein, moving to expel him from his ranks after the group's board had voted unanimously. The Guild had said that sexual harassment was a "systematic and pervasive problem requiring immediate industry-wide action" and have now announced the creation of an Anti-Sexual Harassment Task Force, whose purpose is researching and figuring out "substantive and effective solutions" within the entertainment industry.
I think it's great that more companies are going against Harvey Weinstein because he is such a disgusting human being who does not deserve to be supported after everything he has done. Sexual assault and harassment happens way too often in the entertainment industry and people need to start taking it and the victims more seriously if we ever want to see a change. People also need to start speaking up together against these terrible people instead of letting them get away with it, because there's always safety in numbers.
