World series: Triple-digit heat in LA
The heat is crazy in Los Angeles, California. They advise people to stay inside as much as possible and avoid any harsh exercise outside. However, baseball players have discovered that the ball travels faster in hotter temperatures and slower in cooler temperatures. the players also know what the wind does during the games. They know that they probably wont get and home runs in the first few innings due to the way the wind is blowing, but when the sun goes down they hit it out of the park. The World series kick off is Tuesday, and it is going to be pretty hot out there. Lets hope they get through the game!
I think it is so crazy how much and effect the weather has to everyday activities. Like baseball, you wouldn't think the little things such as the heat making the ball go faster would occur. They are predicting that this heat is going to break a world series record. It will be really interesting to see if anyone finds trends in the out come of the game and the weather. Weather always has and always will have an effect on out door activities.
