Since Iran has been taken over by Islamic State government, the US and Iran have had a shaky relationship, But recently it has shown signs of change. Until recently, US phones could not get service in Iran, but quietly this has changed as AT&T has partnered with RighTel, an Iranian company fully owned by state entities, to provide cell service to its customers in Iran with American phones. This shows signs of less hostility towards americans by the Iranian government. With its oil wealth, Iran promises a lucrative market for American companies that may soon start to market their products there.
I think that it can only be a good thing that Iran is restoring its relationship with America, and that it may help us come to peace with the rest of the middle east by example. I hope that Iran continues to open up to America so that we can begin international commerce with them. Since Iran is such a rich country, trade will benefit both economies.
