For the past few months there have been some clown sightings, but these past few weeks the topic has really become a huge deal. There have been sightings in at least 10 different states. These clowns have tried to take women and children into the woods, chase people with knives, and yell at people sitting in their cars. The main places the clowns have been spotted are cemeteries and in front of the headlights of cars at night. These clowns have recently been hanging out around schools, resulting in the kids having to go in lockdown.
This article was posted on October 5th showing that this clown deal has had a very big impact on America lately. I feel that this started out as a small thing, but when more people realized that so many people hate these clowns and are so terrified of them, they decided to also dress up as clowns to join in on the "fun". When I see videos on social media, it is definitely hard to tell which of the incidents are hoaxes, and which are the real deal. This is not the first clown incident that the U.S has had, in the 1980's there were similar events going on in Boston. I hope that this clown mess can come to a stop and the people who are dressing up as them get caught.

This whole incident and situation is ridiculous. I feel like by so much attention going to the clowns, it's adding publicity and making it a bigger deal than it should be. I wonder why the organization chose clowns as their "face". It's a strange idea, and an unusual thing to see everyday.
