Clowns attacking the United States - Skyler Tepedino

Summary:
Over the past few months, there has been appearances of creepy clowns who attack people and come onto private properties. Clowns in general are one of the top 20 most scary things in the country. These clowns who are coming into states and scaring children and adults is not okay. When they make an appearance, most of the time they have a weapon which is very unsafe. Clowns are interrupting people's daily lives and making adults worry about their children and their safety. The sighings of clowns are near woods and areas with fields or populated places. One place that is very disturbing to me is that they manage to get into owners' backyards and basically stalk the owners and then leave. There have been many videos and evidence showing clowns stalking houses and leaving balloons at their front porches and sittings of clown by school and in places where children are in reach of them. The clowns have been migrating to different states and very populated places… like Texas.  If you look back in time over the symbol of clowns, you can see that some psychopath have used their disguise to commit murder; they have even been used in several movies as the villain. Only a handful of children actually even like them.

Synthesis:
I think that this situation is similar to the Boston Tea Party. During the Boston Tea Party the colonist dressed up as native americans and pretend to be slaves transporting the tea from the boat to land. The  dressing up is where the similarities end because rather than terrorizing people, they ended up dumping all the tea overboard into the shore. I think that people dressing up as clowns is a bit much. Just as recently as last week, we have had lockdowns in the DFW area with frightened citizens, and even some students arrested and charged for their pranks to jump on the clown band wagon. If they are trying to scare people, they managed to accomplish that. Since they became twitter-famous, they took it to the next level by actually stalking people. This clown phenominon is distracting. Wherever I go, I will be suspicious. I never liked clowns, and this article proves that I am not the only one.

  1. I love you comparison to the Boston Tea Party!!!! That was genius. I totally agree that the perpetrators become twitter famous and cause panic. I, too, have never been a fan of clowns or mascots. Let me just see the real you.
