Ciaja Beck (4th period) What's up with Samsung Galaxy S7 note phones ?

On Sunday, two major carriers -- AT&T and T-Mobile -- said they would stop offering replacement Note 7s. The announcements hit Samsung stock, which dropped as much as 4.6% in Seoul on Monday.
The carriers' concern is that the new versions are no safer from fire risk than the originals. Many People have been complaining about issues with the new phone and Samsung hasn't taken any consideration of the problem. Officials says that an owner reached out to Samsung headquarters , he thought that Samsung was willing to help him until a Samsung representative accidentally texted him ,
Just now got this. I can try and slow him down if we think it will matter, or we just let him do what he keeps threatening to do and see if he does it."
Later on that evening Samsung stated ,
We are working diligently with authorities and third party experts and will share findings when we have completed the investigation. Even though there are a limited number of reports, we want to reassure customers that we are taking every report seriously. If we determine a product safety issue exists, Samsung will take immediate steps approved by the CPSC to resolve the situation.”
Analysis : I'm a huge Samsung fan and to hear they're having a lot of issues with this one phone makes me a little nervous for my family members who own the phone . Right now I own the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge which is a pretty good phone, which makes me wonder should I be worried about my phone ? Hopefully not but I really hope that Samsung gets this issue under control because also infants play games on phones which could really put Samsung in the gutter if one catches on fire in the hands of a innocent child .

  1. Not to mention the idea that they may catch fire, but customers are facing issues with the provider in getting replacement equipment. I hope your phone holds up and those inconvenienced can get a quick resolve.
