A 2005 video of Donald Trump bragging about getting getting to grope women due to his fame has the Republican Party into shock. Trump says in the 11-year-old video to NBC host, Billy Bush, "You know I'm just automatically attracted to beautiful- I just start kissing them. It's like a magnet. Just kiss. I don't even wait... And when you're a star they let you do it. You can do anything... grab them by the pussy. You can do anything." Several predominant Republicans stated that Donald Trump was describing an act of sexual assault, but Trump's backers are suggesting it's not. Trump supporter Senator Jeff Sessions tells Weekly Standard that he would not categorize unwanted kissing and groping as sexual assault. When CNN anchor, Anderson Cooper, asked for confirmation of what claims he was making in the video, Trump responded with, "I never said that."
I already knew that Trump has said some pretty outrageous things, but when i heard about this, I was so taken back. I am so shocked that an adult would say such immature things such as "grab them by the pussy." I had also heard during the 2nd presidential debate that Trump tried to excuse himself by saying "It was just locker talk", when questioned about these statements. First of all, unwanted sexual touching and kissing is indeed a form of sexual assault, and "locker talk" does not excuse this type of behavior. I personally do not want my country being ran by a man who lacks respect for women and doesn't understand the boundaries from what is too far. Trump, in a way, gives off an impression that consent is irrelevant and that the woman in this situation is someone who is just taking it when he says, "When you're a star they let you do it. You can do anything." Under no circumstances is that okay. I do not want this man shaping our youth by discouraging the power of consent and setting a bad example for people by giving exceptions for sexual assault. I would hate for a man with such little respect for others to be the face that shapes our country.

You worded it perfectly. And, I wonder, what do they think is actual sexual assault? With such arguments you start to think if these backers actually took part in such crimes themselves, since we know Trump would do it without a second thought. It's disgusting.

To me and the dictionary, sexual assault is "illegal sexual contact that usually involves force upon a person without consent or is inflicted upon a person who is incapable of giving consent". And clearly Trump is saying he can do this women without their consent. That is sexual assault I don't understand how people don't get that. I still can't believe how many people are going to vote for him.
