2nd Presidential Debate

Last night's presidential debate was far from disappointing, and was riveting from start to finish. The two candidates notably began without shaking hands, and started all in. After recent uproar of a recording of Donald Trump boasting about assaulting women, he defending himself calling it "locker room talk" and saying he was embarrassed by his comments. At every opportunity, he also blamed the nation's troubles, ISIS, and the war in Syria on President Obama and Hillary Clinton. He stood behind his proposes to restrict Muslims entering America, and his proposals of tax cuts for the wealthy. Hillary Clinton, proudfully talked about her accomplishments during her time in the Senate and talked about her proposals to deal with health care, Islamophobia,  sustainable energy, as well as other topics. She also apologized her statement calling Trump supporters "deplorables."  The debate ended with the two candidates complementing each other in the request of an audience member.

This presidential debate is so important, as it will not only define the next 4-8 years but the next fifty years as well. Donald Trump has unapologeticly stated racist, homophobic, Islamophobic, and misogynistic views. Even proudfully saying he's "not politically correct".  Trump constantly interrupts Hillary during the debate, treating it as if it was some lunchroom argument. Someone who has no respect for over 1/2 of this counties citizens, foreign countries, and different religions is in no way fit to be the representative of America.  Hillary Clinton is in no way perfect, but she has this country's best interests at heart, and is someone who would preform to the best of her ability- plus a little extra more.

  1. I really enjoyed your overall views on the debate and the tone you covered it in. I agree that both candidates are not the prime choices but because they are the only choices, Clinton does have the best motives and seems better put together and capable of making reasonable decisions.
