9/11/16
Summary: President Barack Obama marked the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks by calling all Americans to unite as one and drew in people from all religions and backgrounds. He said that no one, not any extremist group will ever be able to defeat the United States, Obama spoke to hundreds of service members, relatives, and survivors of the attack that occurred at the Pentagon when American Airlines Flight 77 slammed into the Defense Department's headquarters, killing 184 people. About 3,000 people lost their lives that day as a result of the planes that crashed into the World trade Center and in the Pennsylvania field. The president states that extremist groups now they can never drive down the U.S so they focus on trying to instill fear in hopes of trying to get Americans to change how they live. Obama began and ended his remarks by quoting from the Book of Proverbs; "Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you. Bind them around your neck. Write them on the table of your heart."
Analysis; I believe that the best thing we can do, is hold onto our hope and our love. Because if we let that go then what can we hold onto. Many presidents speak in honor of those who have fallen. Last year, Obama had a presidential proclamation done in honor of our veterans.

I am with you on this one, Leah! Hope and love is what our country needs. I also loved the tribute that Obama held. Bringing together people from different ethnicities and religions is the definition of our country and could not better honor those who we lost on that tragic day.
