The LGBT community has an especially rough time getting along in the athletic world and I think that this really exhibits an openminded and pro-active attitude that I really appreciate. I hope this sends a message to North Carolina and leads to some real change.
Synthesis: The fight for LGBT rights can be tied back to all other fights for social and political equality in American history such as the civil rights movement in the 60's and even the women's rights movement that are both still in progress today.
This is awesome. I'm glad that the NCAA is making progressive strides for the LGBT community.
