Recently, President Barack Obama announced that he intends to veto legislation that allowed families of victims of the 9/11 tragedy to form a lawsuit against Saudi Arabia. Many are critical of Obama's decision, claiming he isn't empathetic with the mournful families who have fought for justice for so many years. Although this incident is widely respected and commemorated, some members of the Congress are still selfish in the way that they are more concerned on how their vote will come across on their reputation than the rights of the victims who suffered.
The criticism will just worsen over time, I predict. The people prefer to side on the more humane party than one of politics, probably because they can sympathize more with citizens like themselves. Being in the same boat with one another can really make an impression on how one judges another. We all suffered a loss that day and are still seeking justice, some more than others. Hopefully the victims will find a different way to reach their righteousness and find peace.
