Some Immigrants Should Stay? (Alejandra Hernandez 6th period)

Summary: Now that the voting year has arrived, Trump has realized that maybe his opinions and words are getting more haters than followers. He had previously said that he would deport 11 million undocumented immigrants and calling tMexicans rapists and drug dealers. However in a television interview he recently said that he would review each personal case saying that we shouldn't generalize, and that this way we could actually catch the bad guys and put them behind bars.

Analysis:I see these actions as a way to gain more votes to make people believe he's had a change of heart, if only that was the case. I don't know to who he's been talking to or if he's realizing how many people feel about him but he is trying to make a comeback. First he says that all undocumented immigrants should be deported, now he says that every case is important. I am very confused because, one, you either care about the families you'll separate, or, two,  want to keep the immigrants here to do jobs that no one else wants to do. He also says that we shouldn't generalize the immigrants because each case is different, but that is exactly what he did when he said 'Mexico sends over rapists, drug dealers, murderers...etc.' He assumed every immigrant is 'out for blood' so to speak, these two comments are very contradicting. Anyways this relates how he is playing by a nativist appeal, and how immigrants are the downfall of America like Americans believed  in the late 1800s.
