Robert Gilliam Prd. 5 - Protesters and Police in Bloody Clashes: Haiti's Power Struggle (Dispatch 1

Summary: Ok, this is a fairly brief story. The President of Haiti recently stepped down from his position, leaving no successor. Now, mind you this is amid a "bloody clash" between protesters and police officers. So this president is leaving his position at a very poorly planned time.

Synthesis: If U.S. presidents feel it's necessary, they are about resign. Amidst an entire protest and bloody engagements though? Why would this be a thing that a logical leader would do? This is leaving Haiti to possibly crumble to the ground. That's ridiculous. This is like if I were playing a sport, and doing absolutely amazing, until the last quarter. In the last quarter (hypothetically) the other team is absolutely killing us, but I decide to step down. That's an act that appears to me as disgusting.
