Two Women Attacked in Lake Highlands Area

Two women were attacked Friday night, fifteen minutes apart. At the Hilton Head Apartments a woman was walking from her car to her apartment when she got pulled from the back by an African American male. This happened at eleven o'clock pm and the victim said that the male looked in his thirties and was wearing black gloves. She was able to trip the attacker and escape. Another attack happened at the Villas at La Risa Apartments fifteen minutes later. The woman also got grabbed from the back from an African American male wearing black overalls. A near by neighbor heard the woman and ran after the attacker, but he couldn't catch him. Now some property managers in the area are installing better security.
In the late eighteenth century through the nineteenth century violence with women was a big issue too. Many organizations were founded to help the women getting abused or attacked. Also men were starting non-violence programs for other men.

ReplyDeleteIt's good that nobody got hurt and that they are now improving security measures. Hopefully the attacker(s) are either caught or cease their attacks.
