tonight is the night. The night of the first in nation Iowa caucus. This is one of the most important nights in the already crazy presidential campaign. Tonight will shed some light onto what the general consensus of where the popularity of the candidates lies. It seems that the candidate's popularity is actually fairly evenly matched. On the Republican side all of the major candidates have almost the exact same percent of voters. On the Democratic side, it is the same way with Hillary Clinton at 51% and Bernie Sanders at 49%.
So, to be honest, I didn't really know what a caucus was, so I looked it up and apparently it's just some fancy word for some kind of political meeting. Anyway, the results of the caucus were really quite interesting. I suppose as a supporter of Bernie Sanders, my opinion would be somewhat skewed but how is Hillary in the lead? She is such a snake. I would hope that after everything that the Clinton administration has done over the years and after the whole e-mail scandal people would be at least a bit more cautious of anybody with the last name "Clinton". In my own humble opinion, the difference should be comparable to the election of Abraham Lincoln.

Clinton and Sanders now currently tied 50/50, so excited to see how all this turns out.

ReplyDeletei am a sanders supporter as well, very interested to see how the american people handle this one since Hilary does have many supporters as well as Bernie.
ReplyDeleteI'm also for Sanders. I'm so curious as to how this will end.
ReplyDeleteI thinks it's refreshing that you focused on the Democratic side. Some people including myself have been more focused on the Republican side. -Mattie Whisler 9th period Flex
