Earth Looks Sick- Katie Schell (Flex)

original: Fri Feb. 12, 2016

International Space Station astronaut Scott Kelly said in one of his final interviews that the Earth's atmosphere "looks very, very fragile" and "something that we need to take care of." The interview was conducted via satellite as Kelly doesn't plan on returning to Earth until March. The astronaut has remained active on his social medias and often voiced his opinion on the matter by providing with first hand photos. "There are definitely parts of Asia, Central America that when you look at them from space, you're always looking through a haze of pollution.

Hearing from a person who has a first hand view on Earth that our planet looks "sick" really puts into perspective how bad in shape our planet is. There has been talk of global warming for years now and there have been extreme signs proving that the concept is plausible. This just really freaks me out especially with all of the natural disasters happening lately. Honestly its our job to keep our planet healthy. Serious efforts need to be made to clean up our planet and make it beautiful again.

  1. the issue of saving and caring for our environment is something that is not taken as seriously as it should be. Progressive motions on this issue need to be considered.

  2. This is really scary. I looked up this guy on insta, and he's spending a year in space apparently. It must be sad to see the state of our planet from such a vantage point

  3. I think we are doing a lot to encourage people to take better care of the environment, but somehow we need to make a bigger impact. Our planet is slowly getting worse and worse.

  5. So many people ignore climate change like it's no big deal, but it obviously is.
