Yesterday, I didn't hear many complaints after the super bowl halftime show regarding talent, that's for sure. The entire performance was pretty solid and done brilliantly in my opinion. However, several people are complaining after really analyzing Beyonce's performance. Rudy Giuliani claims it was unnecessary and done at the wrong place/time. Others that advocate the Black Lives Matter movement like Erika Totten stated that the goal is to bring the message wherever it can't be heard and that's definitely what Beyonce accomplished. Also, she paid tribute to an amazing musician, Michael Jackson, by wearing a similar costume to his when he performed at the super bowl in past years. For all I'm concerned, she got the Black Lives Matter message across and much more. Her performance deserves praise and not pity.
In the 20s, the Harlem Renaissance was beginning meaning that African American art, music, and literature flourished at this time. Finally, blacks were being given an equal amount of respect for their art. However, there's always people with disagreements about this. Throughout time, rebels of society will exist and since Beyonce is almost as high up as the president, she made a message with her art and ran with it. Additionally, this was her decision and she seems like a set-minded person so I doubt anyone could change her grand idea.
