Where's my dad? -Bethany Wolfe 3rd

summary:
Sarah Moriarty's father, Robert Levinson, went missing in Iran over 9 years ago and is the longest-held hostage in American History. However, his name was not on the list of freed hostages in the recent negotiations. She and her mother have complied with government officials and waited for a call after each prisoner negotiation, but they cannot hold their devastation or anger any longer.
analysis:
This article is Sarah's letter to government officials and the public, urging them to speed up their rescue efforts. Her family's pain is audible and it creates a call to action for us. I'm not fluent in diplomatic relations and haven't specifically kept up with news in Iran, but her letter encourages us to read up and fight for her father's return.

  2. This is completely crazy, yes everyone is a priority but really shouldn't the prisoner who has been gone for 9 years be at the top of everyone list.

  4. This reminds me of a much longer version of John Smith's capture by the native americans. I hope this story has a similar ending! (I mean the Happily Ever After part not the death and destruction of many people part)

  5. This is so sad you would think that he'd be a top priority. What happened to no man left behind?
