Donald Trump gets the Christian Vote - Bennett Copley
Donald Trump is running for president. Yes, and surprisingly he is doing quite well despite having no prior political experience. Donald Trump is a business man and he is clearly quite good at what he does, whatever it is that he does, seeing as he has lots of money. Donald Trump has also gotten many Christian votes, because people believe that Trump is a "man of conviction if not faith." It is quite strange that a religion that values charity and humility would vote for someone who has been married three times, lives in a tower over New York city essentially bathing in cash. Though Trump might not have political experience, considering the economical struggle this nation is undergoing, of the many people out there, Donald Trump would be the one that could help. Now I'm not saying that I want Donald Trump to be the president, I personally think that he could beat out Andrew Johnson to become one of if not the worst president of the United States of America ever due to his lack of political knowledge and general feeble-mindedness as demonstrated in racist remarks, crude disrespect to opponents, and all around improper behavior. But that's just my opinion to which I am entitled, so if you disagree entirely that is absolutely fine and I will try not to judge you.

I agree with you, I think it's weird that Christians would vote for Trump especially after the things he's said and done to other candidates and different ethnicities. -Mattie Whisler 9th period Flex
ReplyDeleteI guess either some christians don't know what he's been up too or ,sadly, agree with him to some degree. (Alejandra Hernandez 6th period)
ReplyDeleteWell, we still have like 10 months till the election, so this may change.
ReplyDeleteHe doesn't even know that 2 Corinthians is "second corinthians" and not "two corinthians" so I don't know why any person of ANY Abrahamic religion would vote for him. If he hates Muslims, he hates us all.
ReplyDeleteIt is odd to me too that he has such a large Christian following, especially because he is a very hateful man. I think you are spot on with the prediction that he would be a worse president than Andrew Johnson. -Claudia Anthony
