There's a history of judges or government influenced people that are targeted by this kind of violence. This all comes back to the right to bear arms. Although, it is a right, I believe that it should be restricted to only a few select individuals. If this happens, a lot of people's lives will be saved.

"Texas Judge Shot Outside Her Home" Tea Perez 1st period
Texas judge, Judge Julie Kocurek, was shot outside her home in Austin around 10:15pm. She was sent to a local hospital after being shot. Fortunately, the judge was last listed in stable condition. Austin police released a statement saying, "This injury, although extremely serious, does not appear to be life-threatening at this time." As Kocurek recovers, authorities are trying to track down who shot her and why.

My six weeks project was kind of like this. I think that background checks should be more rigorous and guns should have to be checked out from a secure shop do that no domestic accidents occur.

The right to bear arms should definitely be restricted. It's scary to think you could be shot outside of your home for doing your job
