Mother-son died in apparent suicide by Shara Jeyarajah p.8

A mother and son were found dead in a hospital. The mother had committed suicide by shooting herself, inflicting fatal brain injuries. The cause behind her son's death were not disclosed. The murder-suicide was not discussed. Her 5 year old son was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, dystonia, and extreme sensitivity. He also had extreme seperate on anxiety. The mom struggled financially to pay for the hospital bills and she started a fundraiser to buy a new car.
This story is very sad. I wonder how the money smuggled a gun into the hospital. It's very unfortunate that both the mother and son died. I wonder how the sons death is related to the mother's.
This relates to U.S. History because it reminds me of the cult of domesticity, and how mothers were depended on to provide for their children.
