Semantha Bunce, 21, on Tuesday was breast-feeding her 4 month old child when all of a sudden home invaders charged in and opened fire. Immediatly she fired back with her own weapon. Her husband stated "I think it was a shock to the intruders just as much as it was to her." Bunce is still in the hospital being treated for at least two bullet wounds. The baby was not harmed in the shooting.
This relates back to history becuase it shows that people still take advantage of women like they did in the past when women hadn't gained their rights yet. It's sad that women are still seen as weak and not able to defend themselves. This just shows that women are just as much if not more defensive than men. I think that she had every right to shoot because they came into her home and tried to harm her and her child.

Just because women have the right to vote, doesn't mean they have "their rights." There are tens of incidences that go around you every day in which women are mistreated, we are just tuned out and refuse to notice. Yes, she did have the right to shoot, but imagine if there were no guns at all in that scenario. If all was on an even playing field with no WOMD.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree that she had the right to shoot. Women are so oppressed nowadays and it needs to stop.
