Summary:A new study shows that men are ten percent more likely to believe that the chores at home are equal between him and his spouse when they are not.the study has shown that women are doing most of the chores due to the way they can retain information. for example women can retain information better if it is spoken out loud while men have to write it down. This explains why women can remember to buy milk or take some one to soccer practice and men tend to deal with the finances.
Analysis: Sexism has been a very big issues these last few years and most of it derives from the last century where the Cult of Domesticity was expected of women. the Cult of domesticity basically says that women are meant yo do the housework and tend for their husbands and kids. People, mostly men. believed that a womans job was to have no job just tend to their family. And now in this day and age women believe that this is wrong. And it is. Women are people who deserve everything not just to stay at home. This study shows that sexism still exist but now its proven why, in a way. Yes, some things are easier to do for a women, but it goes both ways. The point is even if its easier or more common for a gender to do something it dosent mean it has to be that way.
I agree with your analysis. I think women and men should be able to do whatever they want, even if what they want is to stay home and do chores. And some men can be audio learners, and some women can be visual learners, so it shouldn't be an excuse for women to be known to do domestic chores.

I agree that much of sexism relates back to the Cult of Domesticity, because gender roles are a huge part of society. I knew that sexism was a huge issue in business and the pay rates of men and women, but I did not realize there was such a difference in the household that a study could prove it. --Claudia Anthony
